About Us

Who We Are

The Flames organization consists of The Atlanta Flames (our premier team) and the Atlanta Smoke (our Tier 2 team). Both teams compete in the VLA and aim to be competitive while spreading their love of volleyball with our local community. In addition, the Flames and Smoke are supported by a back office team with over 30 years of Sports Management and volleyball coaching experience.

Our Admin Team

Our admin team is filled with volunteers who keep our teams focused on the court. Without these wonderful volunteers the Smoke and Flames would not be able to compete as often or at the level that we do.

Crystal Childs

Co-Founder & Director of Coaching Operations

Crystal played D1 volleyball at Clemson and Radford, serving as team captain at both schools while earning her bachelor’s degree and MBA. She went on to play professionally overseas in Southern Europe, where she was named Rookie of the League. Now back in Georgia, Crystal is the founder of the Atlanta Flames and continues to play, create content, and support retired NFL players.

Kelley Becht

Director of Operations

Kelley played volleyball at Troy University from 2011-2014 while getting her degree in Sports Management. She currently serves her community as the manager of Terrell Mill Tennis Center and the Northwest Atlanta Director for Volleyball Elite Academy. When she's not working with the Flames or on the court, you may find her on a tennis court or wake surfing.

Tiara Brown

Player Relations Coordinator

With nearly 20 years of volleyball experience, Tiara is a College of Coastal Georgia volleyball alumna and Public Affairs graduate. She currently serves as the Community & Events Director for Chick-fil-A Canton. When she’s not spending time with family or serving at church, you can usually find Tiara celebrating wins on and off the court.
